GLAM Virtual eBay took place in June, with over 70 girls taking part in our immersive online enrichment program. Girls between the ages of 8 and 12 joined us over a four-week period, hearing from phenomenal women in tech at eBay, as well as incredible guest speakers Chelsey Baker and Apoorva Panidapu.
Together, we covered GLAM’s 8 Pillars: Leadership, Strategy, Teamwork, Entrepreneurship, Creativity, Computer Coding, Business Skills and Public Speaking. And for their final mission, the girls submitted their business ideas on camera in an engaging three-minute pitch.
Girls not only had to come up with an exciting business concept but also include in their pitch the financials, unique selling points, marketing plans and details of their dream team! Here are the pitches that received Highly Commended from eBay and GLAM Judges:
Congratulations to all girls that submitted a pitch and a special well-done to the girls who received Highly Commended awards from the judges. Check out our BLOG showcasing the GLAM Virtual eBay winners here.
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn all about business! I enjoyed every part of it. I loved the vision boards, coding workshops, learning about pitches and so much more! I liked the exercises a lot. Whether we were doing voice exercises or learning how to calm down before a pitch, I always had fun. You made sure that we understood everything, from big vocabulary words to instructions for a project. Thank You GLAM!” GLAM Virtual eBay – Participant feedback
